SIRI Research Foundation follows a scholarly editorial and peer-review process for academic books, research monographs, edited volumes, and other scholarly works where peer review is applicable.
The purpose of peer review is to assess the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and overall scholarly contribution of a proposed or submitted work.
Peer Review Process
1. Initial Editorial Assessment
Submitted proposals or manuscripts are initially examined by the editorial team for scope, academic relevance, originality, completeness, and suitability for publication.
2. Reviewer Selection
Where external peer review is required, suitable reviewers are selected on the basis of their academic expertise and subject knowledge.
3. External Peer Review
The manuscript may be sent to independent subject specialists for scholarly evaluation. The nature of peer review may vary according to the type of publication.
4. Revision
Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript in response to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.
5. Editorial Decision
The final publication decision is made by the responsible editor/editorial team after consideration of the peer-review reports and the revised manuscript.
6. Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo appropriate editorial and production processes before publication.
Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and declare any potential conflict of interest.
Peer review does not guarantee acceptance, and the Foundation reserves the right to decline a submission at any stage of the editorial process.
